| 1. | By submitting an absentee / phone bid you are entering a contract with Remmen Auction Service and will take full responsibility to honor any and all bids we execute for you. Your absentee / phone bid will be entered just as if you are present at the auction and bidding yourself. A $7.50 handling charge for each successful absentee bid will be added to the selling price. The auctioneer will notify successful bidders within 1 to 3 days after the auction (please include your phone number and email address). Payment in full, plus postage, insurance and handling are required within 7 days of notification and before any item is shipped or delivered to buyer. A credit card number may be required to secure absentee bids unless known by auction company. Please allow 2-4 week for delivery for all absentee purchases. All Items must be insured by buyer before shipped. Remmen Auction will not be held responsible for any items damaged during shipping. We will provide buyer with necessary documents required by shipper to file a claim, and shall be excluded thereafter. | ||
| 2. | If there is a tie bid between an absentee / phone bidder and an attending bidder, the bidder in attendance will always take precedence. In the event of a tie bid between absentee bidders, the earliest bid received will take precedence. Remmen Auction Service offers absentee / phone bidding as a convenience and will not be held responsible for errors or failure to execute bids. If someone in the audience is bidding for you, all items must be paid for before leaving the auction premises unless prior arrangements have been made. | ||
| 3. | Items are bid on in excellent condition with no damage OR as listed in the brochures. We will always do our best to describe each item as accurately as possible. Bids will not be carried out if damage to any item is found during the auction. People present at either the preview or the auction are responsible for finding minor defects such as Pinheads, Slight Wear, Manufacturer's Defects or any other minor flaws. | ||
| 4. | Phone or email inquiries about the condition of items or any other questions are welcome and encouraged. Feel free to call our office at (503) 256-1226 or our cell phone at (503) 756-2629 anytime or email us at: absentee@remmenauction.com. Email bids and Phone bids will be accepted until 6 pm, the day before the auction. Carnival Glass Auction phone bids will be excepted at auctioneer's discretion and will only be accepted on items with an estimated value over $500.00 per item. Due to limited space we suggest all phone bid inquiries be submitted as soon as possible. We will accept absentee bids in person the day of the auction during the preview and up to ½ hour before the auction starts. | ||
| 5. | Announcements made the day of the auction take precedence over all printed material. We will not be held responsible for accidents or sold items. By placing and absentee bid you agree to these conditions of sale. Remmen Auction reserves the right to withdraw any property at any time before and during actual sale. By placing an Absentee Bid, You acknowledge that you agree to all the above stated terms and conditions. | ||
